JP Profloor & Cleaning Services

This 1891 Victorian on Summit Avenue was heated by a boiler and radiators and had never had air conditioning.

Adding ducts would have meant opening plaster walls and ceilings the owners wanted to preserve.

Our solution included:

  • Four ductless indoor units placed in the bedrooms and parlor, each with its own thermostat.
  • One multi-zone outdoor unit hidden behind the carriage house.
  • Line sets routed through closets so no original trim or plaster was disturbed.
  • The boiler stays for the coldest days, while the heat pump handles spring and fall heating.

The home now has whisper-quiet cooling in summer, and boiler gas use dropped by 31% in the first year.
